South Australia

A narrated story ballet to delight audiences of all ages.

It is the dawn of a new day and new adventures for Aladdin and his cat, Kira.
The village awakens to fill the streets with stalls and goods.  In these dry lands, every day at the well is a mystery for them.

In the palace lives Princess Jasmine but life is still difficult, with no rain, even this well is dry and with no water to drink. Aladdin is sad and wonders what he could do to help everyone?  He had found a magical lamp and went to test its unlimited power. The Genie appears and grants Aladdin's wish for water!

The kingdom and its people rejoice as water is restored to the land, and to celebrate the love of Aladdin and Jasmine.

Presented by: SA CHILDREN'S BALLET COMPANY

The South Australian Children’s Ballet Company (SACBC) was established in 1984 as a properly constituted and semi-professional body to provide talented young South Australians with the opportunity to develop their artistic potential through real world exposure to the disciplines of performance and dedicated commitment to theatre. In all its endeavours the SACBC aims for technical and artistic integrity.
SACBC membership is open to all South Australian students of dance, enrolled in accredited ballet schools. Each year aspiring dancers audition for a place in the Company which limits membership to approximately twenty-five young male and female dancers in training whose ages range from 10 to 19 years.
The SACBC performs regularly and boasts an extensive repertoire of choreographed works.
