A Groovy Night in "Nam" -The Second Tour

Community Events • Music
South Australia • SA Premiere

A light-hearted, fun-based homage to music enjoyed by Aussie personnel in Vietnam during Australia's involvement in the war from the mid 60's to early 70's.  The performance is set at a fictional conflict zone concert performed by touring entertainers, Adelaide's grooviest vocal trio "Groove Brothers and Soul Sister" combined with the amazing "Backline" band.  The audience is part of the show - they are the  troops attending the concert.  With a very ambitious emcee/DJ from Australian Forces Radio itching to get on stage to sing a song, and some delighful go-go dancers moving to the music of Ike and Tina Turner, The Creedence Clearwater Revival, Normie Rowe, The Temptations, and many more, this is a musical event with the laughs and soul to lift you up and have you cheering for more!

To really get into the spirit and fun of the show audience members are encouraged (but not required) to dress up in "jungle greens" and "giggle hats" or their best late 60's/early 70's era groovy clothes.

Presented by: 'Back in the Groove' - a collaboration between the Plympton Glenelg RSL sub-branch, 'Groove Brothers and Soul Sister' and 'The Backline' band
