Presented by: David Wei-Han Dai & Silk Strings Ensemble
Silk Strings is a 胡琴 (Hu Qin) or Chinese spike fiddle trio based in Adelaide, Australia. The use of "silk" ties our instrument's history to that of countless others. Founded in 2021, the trio is composed of David Dai (Taiwan), Felix Wang (China), and Lester Wong (Singapore). Our goal is to foster intercultural artistic explorations and expand and explore the art of Huqin chamber music through traditional Huqin repertoire, commissioning new works, and collaborating with other art forms from various cultures and fields.
