Adelaide Fringe 2020 Program Shines For Diamond Anniversary

The party that brings a city to life will once again challenge and enchant audiences for the 60th anniversary of Adelaide Fringe in 2020, from February 14 to March 15.
Tickets for the 60th anniversary are on sale from 9am ACST 28 November 2019 for all 1210 events, with more than 7000 artists and 361 venues set to take part in the event that lights up Adelaide and South Australia.

Adelaide Fringe Director To Steer Festival Until 2022

The Adelaide Fringe Board has announced Director and CEO Heather Croall’s contract has been extended by two years to 2022.
Ms Croall delivered her first Adelaide Fringe in 2016, returning to Adelaide after almost a decade in the UK. Under her stewardship, the much-loved festival has experienced exceptional growth in terms of ticket sales, attendances, tourist visitation, philanthropy and industry engagement.

OVER 90K IN GRANTS HELPS SET THE STAGE FOR ADELAIDE FRINGE

The Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund has awarded more than $90,000 worth of grants to support artists, producers and venues to present work in next year’s festival.
This year, the grants were separated into three categories – with a total of nine grants being awarded to two venues, two producers and five artists.

2019 Adelaide Fringe increases tourist attendance by 72%

The 2019 Adelaide Fringe attracted almost 35,000 interstate and international visitors, a staggering 72 per cent
increase compared to the previous year.The much-loved festival also generated a record $95.1 million in gross economic expenditure for South Australia, including $36.6 million in visitor spending – up 24 per cent.
