Adelaide Fringe Triumphs at SALIFE Absolute Best Awards 2023

In an extraordinary night of accolades, Adelaide Fringe has been crowned Event of the Year at the prestigious SALIFE ABSOLUTE BEST AWARDS 2023.

This significant achievement is a testament to the festival's unwavering commitment to excellence in showcasing a diverse array of artistic talents and providing audiences access to a multigenre program that embraces a mix of local and international shows. The reasons to celebrate continued as Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO, Heather Croall was honoured with the SALIFE Person of the Year, recognising her visionary leadership and significant contribution to the arts and cultural landscape across South Australia.

Adelaide Fringe is Australia’s biggest arts festival, offering an eclectic mix of theatre, comedy, music, dance, and visual arts. This year's event was a standout, featuring over 7,000 artists from Australia and around the world, and showcasing more than 1,500 shows across the city and state. In 2023, Adelaide Fringe became the first annual event in Australia to sell one million tickets.

The SALIFE Absolute Best Awards, renowned for recognising outstanding contributions to the cultural and entertainment sectors in South Australia, highlight the best in creativity, innovation, and dedication. Adelaide Fringe's win is a clear indicator of its significant impact not only on the arts community but also on the cultural fabric of South Australia.
