Pride Month is an annual LGBTQIA+ pride celebration held every June. Around the World, events are held as a way of recognizing the achievements and influence of the LGBTQIA+ community. Why June? June signifies the commemoration of the Stonewall Riots that took place in 1969.

 Although issues of injustice and attitude remain, Pride Month has evolved and grown since the riots of 1969 and continues to raise awareness, improve societal attitudes and encourage inclusivity.

The Fringe is proud support and provide a platform for the LGBTQIA+ community both within our arts festival and year round.

In 2022 Adelaide Fringe will make it easier than ever to hit the Fringe: Queer. Look out for our LQBTQIA+ themed shows list. Use our search function on our website to search event tags such as ‘Queer’ or ‘LGBTQIA+’ and add the shows that tickle your tail feathers to your favorite list. Share your favorite list with your pals and get out for a night of Fringe fun!

Feast Festival:
Feast Festival is Adelaide’s celebration of LGBTQIA+ Art and Culture and is set to take place 6-28th of November 2021. Feast is one of 11 major Festivals in South Australia and is the 3rd largest LGBTIQ+ Festival in the country. For more information, check out the Feast Festival 2021 program here
