Adelaide Gaol Ghost Tour + Investigation SOUTH AUSTRALIA - A corridor in a cell block with a grey concrete floor. There are three doors along the right hand side of the corridor, the last cell door is open, the wall is painted orange about a third of the way up, the rest is a dirty cream colour. There are chips and holes in the walls and an eerie green light towards the end of the corridor.

We explored several different areas of the Gaol, including the New Building (built in 1879), the Remand Centre cells, the Hanging Tower and the space between the inner and outer walls where executed prisoners were buried. In the New Building and the Remand Centre we were given the opportunity to go into ‘lockdown’ in one of the cells, with various pieces of ghost-hunting equipment. This was a great night out and our tour guides were very knowledgeable about the site and its history.

Chris John makes a delightful Mr Badger, and I was impressed with how well he kept an audience of young kids engaged and focused. There were plenty of parents and grandparents too, and a few older kids, and the show catered beautifully to all ages. Splash Theatre Company is a local, independent touring company which has been around since 1997 so this is a great opportunity to enjoy a day out and support local at the same time.

Huge energy, plenty of laughs, lots going on, definitely not pg. It all came together at the end so neatly, didn’t see that coming, was very clever and a great way to leave on a high.

Must-see, and absolutely the best Fringe magic show. Dom is very funny and a great magician. We always see him every year, and he never fails to amaze us!

A little predictable, but fun to see the audience get gradually 'sucked in' by the concept.
