Gemma Caruana: Underwire
27 February 2025 - Andrew G.Here we have a show all about a woman's boobs! Or rather, her boob reduction. Featuring some fantastic song parodies sung brilliantly, the bulk of the show is life stories which led to the decision to get surgery. Caruana is full of wit, fire, and energy as she sings songs, performs hilarious re-enactments, while also touching on darker topics. Highly recommended! -
HELIOS
27 February 2025 - Andrew G.A spoken-word, modern retelling of the Phaethon myth, Helios is without a doubt a one major Fringe highlight. The gods in the legend are replaced with humans in a down-to-Earth setting, making them more relatable to us mere mortals. Ultimately I felt the story was about the myths we make for ourselves to give us hope, meaning, and purpose. Powerful and emotional, the ending left me feeling both heart-broken and alive. Highly recommended. -
Aidan Jones - Chopin's Nocturne
27 February 2025 - Bonnie T.I learned a lot AND had good laugh! -
NIGHTRUNNER
27 February 2025 - Carmel W.Loved the sci fi theme! The music and lighting was fab. Performances were fun to watch. I especially loved the laser light act (new to me) and the 'en pointe' ballet. 👏 -
An Evening Without Kate Bush
27 February 2025 - Jonathan H.This show is superb. Sarah-Louise is hilarious, talented, quick to ad-lib and she can really sing. She is clearly a professional at the top of her game. -
Zooma Zooma
27 February 2025 - Sarah B.These guys - the banter, the timing, the excellent musician-ship. Just so entertaining whether you know Louis Prima or not, it's a might fine time! -
Scout Boxall - God's Favourite
27 February 2025 - Misia J.This was a cleverly constructed show. Scout balances raw honesty with gentleness while navigating a painful personal experience. Their poetic imagery captures emotions and facts with striking precision. As a fellow NB neurodivergent person, I resonated with their portrayal of society’s contradiction. The demand for authenticity yet offering few real pathways for self-acceptance. The necessity of masking, both for others' comfort and our own safety, was powerfully explored. -

No Dragon No Lion
27 February 2025 - Dane L.Absolutely brilliant. It was so captivating and kept you at the edge of your seat. You feel like you are in the middle of it. Such level of skill and variety or modes. The art in martial arts. The beatboxers/sound specialist were superb and seamlessly helped create grand scenes and feelings. This was ALL dragons, ALL lions! -
Sam Blythe: Method in my Madness (A One-Man Hamlet)
27 February 2025 - Jonathan H.Outstanding performance. A wonderful Hamlet with the best bits and an interesting framework condensed to an hour. Dylan Thomas beautifully segues into Shakespeare and Sam Blythe breathes life into the characters. A must for school groups and lovers of fine theatre.
