Great show. Amazing musician with a good dose of pathos. The show was broken up in sections that flowed seamlessly.

Fantastic show that had it all. Comedic timing perfection and excellent cello work; Karen brought us in to her world and it was a pleasure to reminisce on her life choices. Thoroughly enjoyable show that we loved. Talented on so many levels. Worthy award-winning masterpiece here!

Wonderful show combining Bach's Cello Suite no 1 in G Major, with comedy and reflections on being a professional musician.

Hearing my favourite cello music played so beautifully in lovely Ayers house was such a delight and a trat in and of itself, however I was equally delighted by Ms Hall's instant connection with the audience and thoroughly engaging, entertaining, and thought provoking spoken performance, and loved the clever use of costume and props throughout, which weaved this show into an absolutely top notch fringe delight. I highly recommend! Absolutely brilliant!

Karen Hall is a talented cellist with a highly successful career. This award winning show covers her life story and personal experiences, delivered with a hint of humour and pathos.

Karen takes you on a fantastic ride of amazing cello playing, personal introspection and reflection, and second guessing life choices. Her performance is very heartfelt and emotional - a truly great performance!

I loved this show, and it didn't take long for me to know that it was one of my favourites of the festival, thus far. Not only is Karen a genuinely 'good' musician, and the cello interludes beautiful, it turns out she's a great writer and actor/performer. It's delightful when an artist comes to life on stage. Karen's face literally seemed to transform as she began to share the story. A confident, bold, clever and vulnerable offering. Absolutely, buy a ticket!

A show with an existential crisis AND a cello

This was extremely good! It would have been worth the ticket price just for the musical portion--Ms Hall plays beautifully and Ayers House is a great site for this. But the artist takes it a level beyond as she explores the tension of a creative lifestyle, and what it's like to devote your whole life to one craft.
