Confessions of a Boba Liberalist
07 March 2024 - Alice Y.I left feeling full from not only the soul food Juanita feeds to you, but from the healing that comes from being seen. Juanita masterfully strings together moments in her life starting from her early years, of what seems at face value like hilarious and ridiculous micro aggressions against her identity as a Vietnamese-Latina Australian. But strung together paints a picture of internalised racism in a country boasting multiculturalism. GENIUS!! -

19 February 2024 - Adil S.Warm, funny, thought-provoking and completely charming -- recommend to anyone interested in modern Australian and/or diaspora identities. There is audience interaction, but only of the gentlest kind! My one regret is going with my mum and aunty, because like most Asians I cannot openly weep in front of my family -
