You will never look at the kid’s film Shrek the same again after this.

A man takes to the stage dressed as your favourite green ogre, performs a burlesque strip show and finishes by spinning tassels from his nipples.

And that’s only just the beginning.

In this 60-minute, burlesque parody, other characters including Donkey, Lord Farquad and Pinocchio take to the stage for the most outrageously fun and silly retelling of the Shrek story.

Through drag and musical theatre, the performers mainly mime dialogue and songs, dressed in fantastic, fun costumes, and often break out in burlesque.

We discover Selin Tian, who plays Fiona, has stunning vocals when she sings.

Confident lead performer Ben Trigger garnered a strong following after making a name for himself on America’s Got Talent, and has filled the venue with fans having a good time.

Not for the faint of heart, the silly, raunchy and fun show will offer plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

These weird and bizarre shows are, really, what Fringe is meant to be about.
