Godz by Head First Acrobats at The Garden of Unearthly Delights Review
By James Murphy
Head First Acrobats' Godz is a cheeky toga party in the Garden, replete with Herculean feats of strength, impish humour and a careful balance of Apollonian order and Dionysian chaos.
With the quartet of godly acrobats surrounded by an audience on three sides, there is danger at every corner: no safety net, no harnesses, no underpants.
Prepare to be smitten rather than smoted by these Greek gods, who can crack a joke while cracking a whip AND while revealing their cracks.
As with the ancient mythology, each god has their tricks and their foibles: Cupid is an aerialist, Dionysus is a trickster, Hercules is a power house, Apollo is headstrong (you've got to be to spin on your head)
While early season jitters and wobbles did occur at times, this is a mostly a riotous R 18+ romp featuring Radiohead, Rihanna and Rammstein
