Well done to SA's Bonnie Lee Galea and her Jazz in Cheek Quartet for presenting an informative and entertaining evening of song and stories paying homage to the legendary "Queen of Soul" - Nina Simone.  

Presented in a lovely candlelight cabaret setting starting off with "I Put a Spell on You" then taking us through the various styles of jazz, blues, folk, gospel with Bonnie Lea delighting the audience with her unique renditions .  I enjoyed the selection of songs , e.g., My Baby Just Cares for Me, Four Women and Sinnerman.  The Jazz in Cheek Quartet is a very accomplished group of musicians and also did justice to the song choices .

Be prepared to have a "spell put on you".
