Dropped in it is an Improv comedy show like no other. It would be easy to cast likenesses to large scale tv improv but that would not do this show justice.

Bringing together a fantastic team and a special guest every night, Dropped in It takes you places you never thought you would go.

The premise is simple- A troupe of improv performers create a “murder scene” sending the special guest away for twenty minutes while it unfolds. That guest then has to work out what happened in the same way as every police procedural, only this is CSI Bonkersville.

With opening night sold out the performers did not disappoint creating surprisingly substantial characters within an incredibly short time.

The skill of the creative troupe was evident in their abilities to remember character declarations and reveals from early on in the piece, the strength of their clapbacks and the absolutely convincing way their fictional characters came to life.

On a small and simple stage that would have made Peter Brook proud, this empty space was transformed into a bakery, train station, police precinct and even funeral home with the players’ “voiceovers” guiding the audience through the narrative.

What sets this improv troupe apart is their exceptional ability to balance theatrical performance with comedy responses. The storyline was consistent and the only person in the whole room that was lost was the sacrifice for the night, the guest performer.

On opening night, Damian Callinan volunteered his head for the chopping block with hysterically hilarious results.

Each member of the troupe held their own against the insane Irish detective of Callinan’s creation with a nose for crime.

This is an uproarious show where each turn made the audience laugh harder.

Improvisation at its finest.
