There is something wrong with the Professor’s boogers, so Mr Snotbottom and his team of snot scientists need to investigate! Along with SAMANTHA, the computer assistant, Mr Snotbottom and his team shrink to tiny size to investigate the Professor’s snot, only to discover that the Professor’s AI experiments have accidentally created a horde of zombie boogers bent on taking over the world!

Miss 9 and I went into this show expecting some science education and a lot of silliness, and it certainly delivered. Part educational, part science-fiction, Mr Snotbottom takes the room of snot scientists (aka the audience) on a high energy, interactive adventure. We act as Mr Snotbottom’s assistants, helping him stop particles (performers dressed in a range of amusing costumes) from entering the body through the nose, we suppress an allergy using antihistamines (in the form of giant beach balls), and more.

Mr Snotbottom was supported by two other performers, one who primarily played SAMANTHA and Noseferatu, the leader of the zombie boogers, and another who played the Professor and a wide range of allergens, particles, and boogers. They maintained the same high energy and humour as Snotbottom himself, swapping quickly between their characters.

Mark Trenwith (Mr Snotbottom) knows just how to aim his shows at the 5-10 age group. It has loads of silliness and interaction to keep the kids engaged, with enough educational content to keep the grownups happy. For any kids who enjoy a bit of ‘ew’, this show is an excellent choice.
