“I Want To Touch You” portrays Touch beautifully, covering the warmth and intimacy of the sensation as well as rejection or lack of Touch. And all done with amazing acrobatics taken to a whole new level.

They have their own 4-piece band providing the totally appropriate soundtrack. They move from beautiful melodies, vibrating rhythm and a cacophony of “noise” to add effect to everything you see – and there is so much to see!

Most of the performance has all eight acrobats interacting and bouncing off each other (liteally!!) beautifully. Early on, there is a delightful show of touch and domination combined with judo (yes, you read correctly) where one performer touches another and is immediately thrown over their shoulder and hitting the stage with a very loud, bone-shaking thud! Another performer comes to help the “lifeless” person to their feet, only to receive the same treatment! It is a real battle that lasts to the last man standing. Very entertaining and highly skilful.

One of the highlights for me was the solo performance of one of the ladies doing some amazing feats of flexibility and fluidity. After several minutes of her solo, she is joined by the other seven performers in a beautiful, graceful display of motion and unique acrobatics.The last five or so minutes was incredible but so dangerous! People being thrown about the stage left, right and centre. This relied on strength and agility but, most important, TRUST! There is so much happening and it relies on every single person to be right on cue for split-second timing to avoid serious injury.

A truly spectacular show that is also a mist-see. This is an outdoor venue so rug up if it’ a cold night. The elevated stage was perfect and it is a shame that Barbaroi couldn’t perform here too (see previous review!) as it is exactly what they needed.
