Madame Martha's After Dark: The Parisian Cabaret showcases Three Beautifully Outrageous Drag Queens from Paris!!!
Madame Martha’s was a very welcome trip (or trip out) to an exquisitely outrageous cabaret club complete with french lace collars, burlesque, killer vocals and a piano accordion serenades.
No question in my mind that Madame Martha’s was five stars. The actors/queens were all talented enough to have carried the show on their own. Which is great! But what’s even better for the audience is that the cast worked magically together. Supporting and complimenting each other’s strengths.
The show was a lot of fun, there were Instagramable moments, dramatic pauses, killer costumes and dancing that Fosse would be proud of. I really liked the overlay of an exploration of gender identity. It added depth to what was an enjoyable piece to watch.
Madame Martha is the go to if you are looking for utterly fabulous drag queens with culture, poise and style… or if you just want to see a fabulous show starring three fabulous women.
You can catch Madame Martha’s at the Kingfisher at @gluttony_fringe for @adlfringe until 9 March .
