Flick is a nurse who would love to introduce us to all the patients she has to deal with. Unfortunately, most of them make her irritable, while others bring out her competitive spirit; few have any positive impact on her at all. Things change however when a new patient catches her eye, leading us on a bit of a joyride with plenty of laughs as we follow her downward spiral.
Madelaine Nunn is a commendable performer. She grabs the audience’s attention and is able to keep the story tight and moving quickly. What’s particularly interesting is the way she brings out a nurse’s perspective, so we can empathise with the problems they face and the moral dilemmas they have to go through. Nunn’s comedy is natural and there are plenty of laughs to be had. If you’re looking for something that’s funny yet dark, with some thought-provoking moments, this could be the show for you.
