It simply is not the Adelaide Fringe without a bit of burlesque, and Fafi D’Alour & The Delinquents does not disappoint. Nestled in Nexus Arts, showgoers were treated to an hour of feathers, flair and some truly exquisite performances.

 Sizzling, scintillating and sassy, the incredibly talented local cast of Fafi D’Alour & The Delinquents delighted the audience with fan dancing, aerial acrobatics, an enviable array of stiletto heels and the vocal stylings of Eliza Dickson, who beautifully belts out a mix of tunes, even giving Beyonce a run for her money with a powerful cover. The fluidity of movement from the performers is mesmerising, with Jamie-Lee Hicks on the lyra hoop a joy to behold, and the cheeky irreverence of Beatrix Jackson and Ina Young adding spark and mischief to the ensemble. Desert Rose’s hypnotising choreography is a show standout, as of course is Madame Fafi herself, swaying and sashaying through the performance with elegance, grace and undeniable sex appeal.

  The sountrack, artfully curated, traverses everything from Nina Simone to Goldfrapp, much to the delight of music nerds.

 Fafi D’Alour & The Delinquents is a stellar lineup of exceptionally brilliant South Australian women who give their all to delight and entertain throughout the entire performance. A must-see act for the lovers of burlesque this Fringe season.
