Today, I met a stranger. I don’t know much about her, not even her name, but we had a really nice time together. She bought me a drink. We laughed at each other. We told each other secrets. I met this lovely stranger thanks to Tilda Cobham-Hervey’s Two Strangers Walk Into A Bar…

In the lead up, I received an email. It told me to sit in a specific chair at a specific time. I followed the instructions, and the next hour was out of my hands. This was one of the most memorable experiences I have had at the Fringe. Spending the majority of the time listening to Tilda’s voice in earphones, I was put in place, a tiny insignificant being floating on a rock in an unknowable universe. I noticed the people walking by, the birds in the sky, and the slow moving clouds. I felt at one with them all.

It’s hard to review something that feels so meaningful. Something that only I will experience this way. But know that if you go, you will have an experience that will be more special than you think a Fringe show could be. It will make you re-evaluate what’s important, it will help put things in perspective, and it will give you an opportunity to sit with someone you don’t know at all and really be present.
