I have enjoyed a passing interest in contemporary dance for decades and have found myself appreciating the flow, power and grace of movement many times. My interest has been "opportunisitic"- when the opportunity has presented itself, I've taken it! However, this!!! This is something! I found myself immersed in an electrifying fifty minute, exquisite, mesmerizing fusion of light, form, and sound-awe from beginning to end! Maliphant x Major is as close to finding time standing still I think I will ever experience! I was simply awestricken!  Two x Two by Russell Maliphan, a celebrated UK based choreographer x Unfolding and Epilogue by Lewis Major, a remarkable choreographer from Lucindale SE, who has traversed the world are each remarkable works in their own right. Lighting designer Michael Hulls, and lighting and sound score designer Andy Cowton provide dancers Clementine Benson Stefaan Morrow, Jareen Wee and Macon Riley with the most extraordinary environments to move it- I couldn't help but wonder if those environments were present during choreography! If I seem out of my depth here, I am! I'm drowning- blissfully and happily in this incredibley visecral, gorgeous show. What can I say? Even if, like me, you know little of contemporary dance, go! See it! you won't regret it!
