Welcome to the Red District, where dark fantasies are brought to life and inhibitions are laid to rest. Carli Hunter and her team are here to play, and they have the sensual fire and physical prowess to dominate your attention. A seasoned entertainer, Hunter is a pole professional of the highest order with multiple state and national champion titles under her belt. You can guarantee that she would bring a production every bit as high pedigree as her reputation demands. And the talent she attracts to her abode is worth every penny. Every dancer and performer brings jaw-dropping contributions to the stage. We’re treated to multiple synchronized floor routines showcasing their impossibly lithe and flexible bodies, complete with a fetishistic aesthetic. The seductive floorwork is second to none; smooth, dynamic athleticism, dripping with style. Nicole on the aerial silks. Nicole on the aerial silks. Beyond the fiery dance numbers, the show is further complemented by an impressive cast of aerial artists and one hilarious MC. Hugh Parnham plays a fascinatingly off-kilter host with a penchant for avant-garde theatrics; every one of his whimsical flourishes invites you deeper into the intrigue and mystique of the scantily-clad troupe. At the centre of the stage, the solo aerial acts shine. Nicole is resplendent and powerful atop her rose-red silks, Bridgette on straps is a heart-stopping spectacle that will leave you speechless, and Hunter on her iconic flying pole is dazzling to behold. The Octagon pavilion is a suitably spacious venue for this adult adventure to fully flex. A full-circle view of the stage allows for ample appreciation of the action from all sides. And if you’re lucky, a dancer might just appear at your shoulder, bringing the intimacy beyond the confines of the stage. You’d be hard-pressed to find a sexier show. A tantalizingly lush cabaret and dance fusion with some of the hottest aerial acts around. Turn a corner and take the plunge. The Red District will leave you hungry for more.
