In this group therapy session disguised as a comedy show, Josh Glanc brings us all together on a journey through song and story. Nonsensical and keenly self-aware, Glanc is in the business of bringing families together and breaking couples apart, armed only with his facial hair and crop top. No stops are left unpulled-out in Glanc’s comedic artillery. Loops and tracks from a sound board make up the base of the show, which accompany his jokes; he has the voice of a rock star but, fortunately for the crowds of people he pulls in, he chose comedy. His commitment to the bit is unmatched, so much so that the crowd’s laughter is guttural and hearty. Even the most tone-deaf among them sing along to his hits, such as ‘Family Man’ and (in stark contrast) ‘Slut’, where no one’s partner is off-limits. As the show progresses, therapy morphs into a hostage situation: the only way out is to accurately sing ‘We Go Together’ from Grease as Glanc conjures up the most severe case of Stockholm Syndrome in an audience since Beauty And The Beast. Surrender to it and allow Glanc to serenade you in this highly improvised show; there will never be anything else quite like it.
