Comedian Andy Balloch invites us to take the ride of his life at Warner Bros’ Movie World, Hollywood on the Gold Coast™️! This is the premise that then zig zags through the highs and lows of his life, the odd people he’s encountered on the way, and then finally, his true message of solidarity, support and community. Balloch’s very casual delivery is like an unrehearsed chat with a few friends, but he’s deceptively polished, as is that of his tech person Dom whose timing of the many sound effects and lighting cues shows more precision than a Rolex. The show feels very natural and fluid despite Balloch acting out a number of his scenes. Balloch plays multiple characters, converses with pre-recorded voices, and mimes a little as he works his way through each story in his glittering silver two-piece costume. His material is silly, surprising, and up-to-date, referencing both modern and historical events, which also gives it a fresh feel. Am I the Drama? is accessible to all and Balloch’s messages are for all, even with its gay agenda. He simply knows how to give you a good time.
