Ellen Briggs and Mandy Nolan come from a country town, they are wives and mothers with a down-to-earth sense of humour and a common-sense perspective on life. One gets the feeling that they don’t put up with fakes and falsehoods. Their brand of comedy gets them talking about various subjects that many would find confronting, but delivered with good humour the audience love them.

They still enjoy sexual references and the occasional coloured language, bodily functions and the ageing process. Their topics range from dealing with teenage boys and the perils of inter-relationships to how your pants will sometimes roll down if they’ve lost their stretch. Discussing what cosmetic surgery is most popular, even if Mandy can’t understand why anyone would want that part of their anatomy made bigger! They serve it up to everyone, from those women who  undervalue themselves to our overvalued political clowns.

It’s two years since I caught their previous show and they still serve it up with a smile. I’m glad they are keeping it real and keeping audiences laughing.
