Presented by Interactive Theatre Adelaide Royal Coach Sunday, March 19, 2023 This production was meant to debut at the 2022 Adelaide Fringe but was postponed due to Covid 19 pandemic. Therefore, it made its Adelaide Fringe debut this year alongside its sister show, Faulty Towers, the Dining Experience (https://eventalaide.com/food-beverage/2023-adelaide-fringe-review-faulty-towers-the-dining-experience/) Both shows are produced by Interactive Theatre. What a perfect way to close out our 2023 festival season by attending what promises to be the wedding reception of the year. Stacey and Will’s surprise wedding reception at the Adelaide Royal Coach and everyone in attendance are the invited guests. And a packed room at that. Just as I take my seat, the interactive part of the show kicks in with one of the waiters covering my eyes with my napkin. I had the wedding cake maker at my table and the designer of the wedding dress at the table beside me. Even before the wedding party arrive, there is mayhem between the waiter and waitress who cant keep their hands off each other. The married couple, Will and Stacey, make a joyful entrance, surprised by the reception, but things rapidly go downhill from there. Poor Will copping it from the parents of the bride and a best man that is out of control. With the characters running in and out of the room, coming back as different characters, this is one hilarious ride. High praise to the cast of four who play multiple characters perfectly. This is the most fun and laughter you will ever have at a wedding reception. One wild ride indeed, and a perfect show in our eyes. Five stars. 10
