Leave your kids at home and enjoy a night out filled with stunning acrobatics, sensual costumes (or lack thereof), operatic delights and burlesque in a style you’ve never seen before.
No, seriously, leave your kids at home. Any show that warns that you may take photographs, but not while the performers are nude, is not a show for kids! (Official age suitability rating is M15+)
Rouge weaves jaw-dropping circus acts with sensual burlesque and powerful live opera. Front row audience members are serenaded, may receive a lap dance, and are scarily close to an impressive whip-cracking routine.
Playful flirtation between crew members and with the audience is a constant as the show pushes the boundaries of gender, sexuality and relationships. The result is an overwhelmingly positive, affirming show that leaves the audience gasping in awe and surprise.
There is a lot packed into this show. Expert acts on the cyr wheel, trapeze, fire eating, aerial straps and handstand canes delight and impress the audience, while the choreography, comedy and soundtrack complement it perfectly.
The show embodies everything about the Fringe and ticks all the boxes for a fun night out!
