Amelia Ryan & Libby O'Donovan in UNSUNG
KiA Review | Unsung left us with goosebumps and was every bit worthy of the opening night standing ovation it received. We expected the great play list but had no idea of the eye opening education this amazing show was going to enrich the audience with. The common topic of discussion post show amongst the crowd ‘I just learnt so much’.
The very talented Amelia Ryan and Libby O’Donovan will belt out tunes and tell you a very real story about the Australian women who created history and changed generations, earning the credibility they deserved on the Australian music scene in the sixties and paving the way for the ongoing battle that is equal rights. These women were ‘bad ass’ in the best possible way and while there is no doubt they were trail blazers, it’s kind of sad that we are still fighting for much of the same equality today.
Delivered with tasteful comedy that we have come to expect from Ryan and huge unparalleled vocals from O’Donovan, the show runs for just over an hour. The Queen’s Theatre Venue is themed up a treat – if those walls could only talk hey.
Take your Mum, your husband, your bestie or your daughters, but be quick to secure tickets this one we are certainly be a sell out.
