Adelaide comedy gurus Funny Adelaide have been all over the Fringe this year (they put shows on all round SA year round too!) and when we heard Aussie icon Paul McDermott was headlining their musical comedy gala, we had to check it out. A packed Arkaba top room (gee that holds a big crowd) had a fantastic night filled with top quality stand up and musical comedy. With most of the talent also running solo shows during the Fringe, it was great to see them put on a tight set of their best work while the crowd relaxed with a few drinks. Coming in at a nudge over 2 hours, it was terrific value and we get the impression Paul McDermott (who was bloody hilarious) didn't want the night to end. The Arkbaba may have found a new fan in the Good News Week host. We love some good comedy and once Fringe wraps up, we might have to check out some of Funny Adelaide's shows to fill that post-fringe hole!
