Travel back to the magical world of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with this hilariously wondrous show. Voldemort and the Teenage Hogwarts Musical Parody is a wild spin on J.K. Rowling's fantastical narrative, but it's not the Harry Potter you grew up with. A hit for Potterheads and muggles alike, with a killer plot, outstanding vocals, and a cast that you can't help but love.

Making it clear from the beginning of the show that "for all legal purposes, this is a parody", the hour of mystical teenage antics will leave you wanting more. Hosted at the Virago in Gluttony, the show promises fringe-goers a wonderful hour of frivolous fun with a touch of raunchy zest. Set in the time of the second world war, the show pokes fun at the uses of magic in the real world, with a love triangle turned square and three unforgivable curses that make for a truly magical performance.

The cast of 7 amazing performers are true physical comics and role models for their industry, breathing life into a fresh story and taking audiences along for the ride. Finally recognised as the sassy queer icon he truly is, the role of Professor Dumbledore is played by Guillaume Gentil, bringing a sense of style and poise to the character. A descendant of her house’s founding father, Genevieve Gryffindor, played by Stephanie John, is a fiery beauty with a flair for popularity. In Hufflepuff, we find Muffin Rows (Stephanie Beza), Derald Bacon (Jonathon Shilling), and Hagrid (Jay Haggett), a skilled trio that showcases their conviction and passion for the arts in their performance. A recurrent character in the films, audiences see the talented Emerson Hansford bring Myrtle Warren, portraying a different side to the Ravenclaw before she haunted the second-floor girls' lavatory.

Rounding off the cast is the star of the show, Tom Marvolo Riddle, played by Alex Donnelly. Alex brings a strong sense of depth and range to he-who-must-not-be-named, showing a witty and playful side I'm sure many half-bloods would appreciate. Witty, charismatic, and dashing, he exudes a vibrant stage presence, keeping audiences engaged and on the edge of their seats. Alex is a true testament to what it is to be an outstanding performer.

The show is a true joy to experience. Hop on your muggle devices and get your tickets before they sell out. Mischief Managed!
