Erin Fowler has tackled a deeply personal and often confronting topic in EGG with humour, grace (literally & figuratively!) and relatability. And we loved every second of it!

Through physical theatre, dance, comedy and an epic soundtrack, Erin tells her story from conception, childhood, first periods, first sexual encounters, relationships, dreams and the question that every woman faces at some point - do I want to have a child? Is it too late for me?

All too often is it presumed that women will fall in love, get married, have babies and live happily ever after - but is it ever really that simple? What about the women who aren't sure if they want kids? What about the women who deperately want kids but haven't found "the one"?? EGG explores the journey of womanhood throughout her show and will leave you appreciating that every woman has a different path in life.

Be prepared to laugh - some of the metaphors Erin uses throughout the show by way of her props, music and movement had me cackling, while other moments brought tears to my eyes. You could feel the anguish and indecison during an "Am I/ Aren't I?" moment in the show and the baking metaphor was just perfect to convey how so many women feel about their own biological clock.

Special mention to the lighting design which perfectly encapsulated certain moments of the show and added to the emotion that Erin was trying to convey.

Having not seen much physical theatre before, I wasn't sure what to expect but Erin balances the movement, the comedy and the story in a seamless way to tell her story.

This is a perfect show for a group of girlfriends - I guarantee that everyone in your group will relate to the show differently.
