What happens when two brilliant comedians join forces to bring you a double dose of stand up? You are certainly guaranteed a night of laughter. Nickyboy and Fiona O’Loughlin have been working together on and off for many years, and it is clear there is a great deal of mutual respect. Nickyboy has been performing standup for the past ten years. His slick set was full of funny audience banter and great comedic stories. His stories are full of wonderful twists and turn that take you down a path you least expect, only to leave you in fits of laughter. He is the master at observational humour. He mixed song and dance into his set, and even brought his daughter up on stage to join in with the final song. Fiona O’Loughlin is comedy royalty. From go to woah, she had the audiences in fits of laughter. Touching on her recent ADHD diagnosis and recent onset of early stages of dementia, Queen Fee wove stories of her recent life adventures into a wonderful hour of entertainment. A big surprise in Fiona’s set was when she decided to perform two songs. I was surprised to discover that Fiona can really sing, her voice raw and honest. She had the audience singing along. It would be wonderful to see more of this side of Fiona in upcoming shows. She is a master at stand up and she never fails to leave her audiences crying with laughter.  Although this was the final night of Nickyboy and Fiona’s joint Fringe show adventures, I highly doubt it will be the last time we see the two work together. Both comedians have their own solo shows during the remainder of the Fringe, and it would be worth checking them both out.
