Decked out in shimmering lurex, these four, modern women wonderfully answer their own question from the song Have I Left it Too Late? with a very definite negative. It was so refreshing to see women my own age up on stage performing original work in a very original style. Their witty observations on life's problems and unexpected twists and turns – such as discovering one's husband was gay – provided plenty of opportunities for laughter. Their original songs talked about life, love and loss. I was very touched by the song about dementia when describing the patient as being in another reality. I could identify with the song's words, it was as if Daddy had run away and joined the circus, as that summed up where my late Mother often seemed to be.  With soaring voices and brilliant harmonies, a very clever percussionist, guitars, ukulele, keyboards and a bassoon The Divine Loveys, covered many musical bases from pop, rock to jazz and soul. Starting out in 2014 as buskers in Murwillumbah, the group has developed into a tight cabaret band, as they brilliantly blended comedy, life's experiences and amusing tales of how we coped with them.
