My first thought after seeing this show was… when can I go again?!! Millicent Sarre certainly is opinionated, and fabulously so. She provides a fresh authentic voice with outstanding original content that opens up the dialogue on themes like women’s pleasure, internalised misogyny, identity and body image issues, that are so deeply ingrained in our societal norms. A self professed feminist, singer, songer-writer, activist, with degrees in law and musical theater - Mim’s cabaret talent and flair to instill humour into some hard hitting truths makes this a performance not to miss, by this outstanding Adelaide artist. Highly entertaining and eloquently put, ‘Opinionated’ will have both sexes in fits of laughter and deliver some of Mim’s opinions on discrimination, breaking the cycle of female rivalry and calling out shitty behaviour through comedic song. Voiced through styles of cabaret, rap and at times folk, Mim’s range is used to bring home messages of social equity and inclusion. Go see this show. Tell your friends. Get ready to belly laugh… and probably cry. I can’t wait to see Mim and her fierce antics again!
