Fairy tale retellings and reinterpretations have long been a staple at the Fringe - if you haven't seen at least one drag performance lampooning Disney, have you really lived?

It should be no surprise that Tone and Cheek productions have a wide pool of inspiration to draw from as they entwine classic fairytales into a visual smorgasbord of death-defying aerials, song and dance numbers, and sexy circus thrills.

We're treated to an ensemble of charismatic circus and theatre performers, each embodying a different fairytale character in a loosely connected narrative. You'll find something to appreciate in each of the incredible routines featuring aerial hoop, silks, straps, hammock - something to please every diehard aerials fan out there.

A healthy mix of floorwork, dance and cabaret ties the themes together nicely. You'd be hard-pressed to find a crew that uses their physicality better, with each performer given a chance to shine and build on the charisma of their companions.

Visuals are stunning from start to finish; deliciously fun costume designs and moody lighting compliments each transition to a new fairy tale. There's no wasted space or time as we move between performances - with some cheeky audience interaction thrown into the mix.

A highlight of the new Pyramid venue and an easy recommendation for circus fans new and old. Happy Endings is sure to provide a good time for anyone in need of a sexy fairytale to liven up their Fringe experience.
