Another classy, thoughtful and expertly presented show from these Fringe stalwarts, providing a genuine look at Steven Bradbury’s unlikely gold medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics…

Who am I kidding?

It’s another crazy show featuring a plot line wafer thin and plainly the outpourings of a seriously deranged mind! Leader Nick Conway’s, in case you’re wondering. This show takes you back to Bradbury’s beginnings, literally, and then on a roller coaster ride of totally over the top explanations of the events that preceded Bradbury’s historic victory. Tonya Harding, Lance Armstrong make an appearance, as you would expect, along with the devil, an unborn child, drug dealers and so on. As I said, the product of a deranged mind.

Luckily for the poor suffering audience the 3 members of the George Glass troupe can also play musical instruments and so the chaos was interspersed with a number of songs which were actually not bad and the “plot”, aside from becoming bluer and bluer as the “story” progressed, did lead to a great deal of mirth from the gathered. Actually, I have to admit that it was very funny. Mad, but funny.

One can only hope that collection of depraved individuals eventually see the light and finally do something serious and sensible. I for one, will be there next Fringe, just to check on them, of course.

The really frightening event is to occur on March 10 when Bradbury will actually be in the audience. Keep your eye open for the inevitable lawsuits to follow.
