So, as @theTiser is apparently boycotting an arts festival that sells more tickets in South Australia in a month than AFL does in an entire season, I’m gonna be out reviewing everything I see while I’m having an absolutely BRILLIANT time at #adlfringe. I just saw “Betwixt”. Produced by Brisbane’s @pinkmatter.entertainment company in conjunction with Metro Arts, it’s a streetdance-meets-spokenword show; what makes it interesting is that the spoken text acts more like audio texture for the dancing. The choreography is exuberant and if you like dance LEMMETELLYER there is some EXCEPTIONAL dancing in this. They do a lot with very little by way of tech and design - and the music’s great. Definitely one for the urban dance fans.
