Amity Dry is back with her hit show 39 Forever but this time it’s plus GST. She takes us on a reminiscent journey from her teen years to now, through songs we know and love from the 80s and 90s. Amity shares her experience as a woman in all the stages and is honest and heartwarming in her witty observations of motherhood, and ageing in this social media world.

The dialogue is very relatable for women who are in this age group, giving food for thought to those reaching 40 and inspiring all ages to be who they want to be, and care less about what other people think.

It’s a toe-tapping, dance in your seat (we couldn't get up and dance with covid restrictions at the time), laugh out loud and big feels kind of show. Perfect for a girls night out, and the 4 or 5 blokes in the audience just might have gained a better understanding of the doubts and struggles women often experience in solitude.

If you saw the show back in 2017 it’s pretty much the same with all the great songs but there’s a new inspiring ending and a fab new original song Amity has written recently which is especially close to her heart. It’s well worth taking the journey again with a new perspective four years later.

39 Forever highlights Amity’s immense talent as a writer, powerhouse singer, songwriter and musician. Along with her trusty and fabulous Musical Director accompanist Jamie Burgess, Amity entertains non-stop in this warm humorous performance. This sparkling performance will leave you smiling. Go see this show and support local homegrown talent.

The show is on in The Lark, one of Gluttony’s open air venues. At 7.40pm it was a beautiful evening to enjoy this opening night but just remember to dress for the weather at any of the open air performances.
