A wonderful thought out historical play that highlights the achievements of an Australian women during World War II. Based on the true story of Nancy Wake, this play further highlights the role that women played in the war, especially in roles that men could not fulfil, a part of history that many of us would be unaware of, a recognition not given to Nancy for many years. The performance of Emily-Jo Davidson was outstanding and that of her fellow cast members Stephen Schofield and Charles Herkes. Peter Maddern’s use of language is witty and confronting. This is a performance that has you chuckling and gasping. An important historical story that one must see.
