Want to see a show that has some of the biggest hits by one of the world’s biggest bands? Want to see a show that rocks? Then Come Together – The Beatles Rock Show is your show! Producer and Lead Vocalist, Rachel Vidoni along with her band had us rocking out to a mega hit list of Beatles songs from the pop/rock days of the 60s right through to the psychedelic rock of the 70s.  It’s just hit after hit after hit and the audience were loving it with every guitar stroke. 

It says ‘Rock Show’ in the title and that’s what it was; rock at its best. The band and backing vocalists were slick and in fine form. They were so good that I need to give them a special mention; Russell McCormick on keys, Kyle Sambell on drums, Ben Whittington on lead guitar, Lee Nash on bass, Emily Isaacs and Kylie Ferreira on backing vocals. Rachel Vidoni not only leads on vocals but plays a mean guitar as well as joining in the routines with dancers Rachel Durski & Maddie MacArthur. The production had a solid rock vibe that lifted the energy without disrespecting the original songs and it made for an electric hour of non-stop energy!

Vidoni and the band managed to give songs like Eight Days a Week and Can’t Buy Me Love a harder and edgier sound, breathing new life into songs we’ve all heard a thousand times. It would be easier to list the hits that weren’t played but they managed to squeeze in so many with a non-stop medley from the early years; Love Me Do, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, She Loves You and more. Apparently, someone said not to add Hey Jude to the list, well the audience gave it their approval to be there along with Yesterday, Helter Skelter, Strawberry Fields, Let It Be and Help where they did the Beatles and John Farnham version. The crowd loved it and sang along when asked and continued way beyond what was expected! You can never pick which song is a crowd favourite when there’s so many great songs in their catalogue of hits. 

This show has it all; iconic hits songs, bright glitzy costumes, great choreography, a kick ass rock band and brilliant vocalists. Even if you don’t know all the Beatles songs it doesn’t matter, the show stands on its own as a rocking good time!
