Crème de la crème: the style of this show is in its title, as audiences get to enjoy the very best performers from the Adelaide Fringe scene. Think acrobats, circus performers, physical comedy, and magicians, this show absolutely has it all. Hosted by the Head First Acrobats crew, seedoeatreview and a sold-out Saturday night crowd were treated to spectacular aerial displays by Love Life Laundry, sensational aerial silks by specialist Shauna, a hypnotic Cyr wheel performance from Andi Cooper, and an eye-popping date-night sketch from Imogen of Laser Kiwi fame. Throw in some jugglers, hula hoopers and magician/comedian Paul Dabek, and you’ve got yourself one hilarious, fast-paced hour of top-quality entertainment. That’s the thing I enjoy most about these types of star-packed shows. Not only are the performers showing the very best of their skills in their chosen field, but the shows never get boring either. Jumping quickly from one performance to another, Crème de la crème is the type of show that’s perfect for those of you who aren’t sure what to see at the Adelaide Fringe. It’s just like a sample menu at a restaurant, and the best part is that everything is tasty. I don’t think there’s another show in the Fringe that has such a wide variety of acts. Personally, I enjoy my entertainment with a side of laughs, so Imogen being able to light a candle with only her feet and Paul Dabek making a fifty-dollar note appear out of a banana really won me over on the night. But saying that, all the performers were amazing. Take your Adelaide Fringe viewing with a side of crème this year and enjoy! Four stars ****
