Just like the title of the show suggests Crème de la Crème brings you some of the best acts under the one tent at new Adelaide Fringe precinct Fool’s Paradise. I’ve seen a lot of Fringe variety shows in my time as well as weird and wonderful artists but I will say the variety at Crème de la Crème were some on the best going around. For the evening Head First Acrobats performer Cal brought his suave and cheeky hosting skills to the packed-out crowd in The Vault. You don’t want to miss his act of balloon modelling. Let’s just say you will never look at a balloon the same way ever again. Bending and contorting her way around twisting, pouring and drinking, Imogen Stone one third of Laser Kiwi brought the biggest laughs with her very clever way to drink and pour wine. Anthony Joseph (AJ) Saltalamacchia showed us how to juggle and bounce a ball or two or three or six! Shauna Johnson swung and swayed to thumping beats on the aerial silks while Faye and Ant performed a tender yet hilarious love story on the aerial ropes. Selena Porter showed us how to flip and balance ball bags and all the way from London, Adelaide favourite Comedian/Magician Paul Dabek brought us his side-splitting quick-witted brand of magic that involved a money bag, a $50 dollar bill and a banana. Don’t ask just, go see the show! From hoola hooping to highflying aerial acrobatics as well as juggling balls and bags to comedy and magic, this show has so much to keep you entertained in the whole 55 minutes. Be warned there may be audience participation but as always isn’t that the best part of going to see a Fringe show?
