Jimeoin has been a stalwart of the Australian comedy scene since the 1990s.

His new show brings him from COVID lockdowns onto the stage once more after a long hiatus that sees him reflect on the pandemic and family life amongst many other topics.

With his play sheet in hand when he’s not sipping a beer, Jimeoin’s laid back style makes for some fiine storytelling and jokes. He engages with his audience and isn’t afraid to poke fun at himself and his own shortcomings. His observational humour is witty, and his charm is evident through the show. It’s no surprise he can still pull in an audience after so many years on the scene.

The monologues are broken up with some nifty dance moves and a few musical numbers which garner some of the biggest laughs of the night. It’s not a raucously funny night out, but the laughs are steady, the pacing is good, and it’s entertaining from start to finish, ending on a particularly high note that will no doubt be the subject of subsequent conversations.
