Kids in Adelaide REVIEW - Circus Wonderland a Mermaid's Tale

This is a really great, high quality family show that we are reccommending for 4 yo and up…..we are calling it part circus and part mermaid / sailor love story. Set in the beautiful Wonderland Spiegeltent that is taking pride of place as a new small scale ‘Fringe Hub’ in Hindmarsh Square, you will love the less hectic atmosphere and easy (er) street parking here by comparison to the Eastern Parklands.

Excpect a mermaid at great hiegths, ariel and silk routines, circus clowing, loads of comedy rolled in and plenty of gravity and logic defying entertainment. We genuinely hope they keep offering mermaid glitter to every one on entry, beacuse the Dads all looked particuarly dashing in tiny shiny scales. Honestly though, don’t get put off or too caught in the mermaid thing, lets call it ‘subtle mermaid themes’.

This is a massive step up on the facilities that have been in Hindmarsh Square previous years. Allow time for a drink and chill out pre or post show in the abundant comfy seeating. There are snacks available and the toilets were clean. Winning. We only wish there were more kids shows in this venue, as it really was so easy to relax, knowing the kids are safe, fenced in and cant go too far.

This show and venue are definately worth checking out!
