A Carnaval Dream – Brazilian Cabaret ★★★★

Dancing, acrobatics, vocals, and amazing costumes – this show captures the sparkle of Brazil!

Brought to us straight from the streets of Rio by the one and only “Dance Queen”, founder and artistic director Talita Fontainha, an internationally renowned dancer and choreographer from Rio De Janeiro. In this extravaganza, Talita has pulled together a cast of Australian artists who skilfully transport you to the historic Lapa Quarter.

A wonderful exhibition of Brazilian culture is displayed through dances of the Samba, Rumba, Salsa, Bossa Nova and contemporary Funk.

The music is hot and fast, but even more impressive was vocalist Alexa who was sang in Portugese, never having even spoken the language before!

The resident acrobat is a crowd favourite, contorting herself into positions that makes the audience squirm, all to the accompaniment of those Brazilian beats!

To top it off, you’ll be impressed by the spectacular costumes – colour, sequins, feathers, glitter, headpieces – they are stunning, and something to behold in themselves! Massive props to the costume director!

Another impressive feat of this show is the reveal that the show was created in just two months (if you see this show, that amount of time is just jaw dropping)!

Dancing on the bar, down the aisle and on stage – you’ll be whipping your head back and forth trying to keep up with this high energy show! Grab your feather headpiece and get ready to party the night away, Brazilian Carnaval style!
