Pat McCaffrie’s Fringe show 24 Hour Political Party was the fastest gabbling 50 minutes of stand-up I’ve ever seen! Here he also totally engaged with his audience with his analysis of our political figures, and their ducking and weaving whenever the going gets tough. ScoMo’s curry recipes, and the Cronulla Sharks got frequent mentions, plus his 60 Minutes interview that apparently drew worse ratings than ABC TV’s crime series Vera! I also liked his recounting of the Ukrainian farmer who hitched his tractor to the front of a Russian tank and towed it away, with the Russian driver running behind trying to retrieve it! Excellent entertainment from a performer returning next year!
