If there's one thing that I can tell you about Adelaide Fringe going full steam ahead, it's that it would be incomplete without the ethereal presence of regulars Boo Dwyer and Tash York within the Gluttony space.

After their success with bringing Katy Petty into their previous instalment (full review here) and into our lives in 2019, seasoned petty queens Boo and Tash have returned this year with a show that deals with how COVID-19 has shaped their philosophy of living life to the fullest...whilst still embracing their subtle yet sassy pettiness.

Between Tash enduring the most gruelling of lockdowns in Melbourne for nine months and Boo narrowly surviving a five-day lockdown in Perth shortly after getting a fresh new set of acrylics that no one got to see and admire, the two have combined their survival stories to bring us a thoroughly entertaining hour of comedy and cabaret and inspire us in the audience to cease every moment and live our best lyf in the most #blessed way possible.

Some of the highlights of the show include Tash's achievement with hitting 10,000 steps on her Apple Watch with a bottle of wine as a motivator, Boo's rapping skills that will leave you speechless and begging for more, Tash and Boo's unwavering love for nature, and a crash course in nailing your selfie game at golden hour. Their banter and exchange is not only natural and seamless, but also explores a range of topics that make their content #relatable. Their redefinitions of slang words that were birthed during the COVID-19 era are particularly enlightening and the audiences are encouraged to 'dream, believe, and do' (a play on 'live, laugh, love') under the new normal lifestyle that we all currently lead in the COVID-era.

The duo impart words of wisdom to their audience on how to unleash one's inner pet-tential. It is no surprise that everyone left the show a lot wiser and a lot pettier (in the most fun way possible). By poking fun at life's most mundane of experiences and activities, Tash and Boo's show offers audience with a medium to laugh at the littlest of inconveniences and apply theories in making every seemingly large issue into a small one using motivational affirmations and quotes from Boo's very own Pinterest board.

From their patterned outfits to their harmonious voices, the unique personalities of the duo bounce off each other with a rhythm that is hard to come by on a regular basis. The two are able to capture your attention throughout the show with their original rendition of well-loved songs. Their fun and playful mannerisms are bound to impress and delight to the heart's content. The show also brings a brilliant balance of scripted and improvised material that instantly showcases their sharp wit and ability to perform on cue.

Expect to have a tummy ache from laughing too hard and resonating all too strongly with this lighthearted and wholesome show. Boo and Tash are a force to be reckoned with and this show is the much-needed comic relief that our inner petty gods and goddesses need after the sh*tshow of a year that 2020 has been thus far.
