MATADOR – Sabor de Amor  ★★★★★

So, let’s be honest, I had to Google “sabor de amor” from Spanish to get the English translation, & to my delight it literally means “taste of love”. A perfect description of this show which is full of love, passion, lust & heat… that’s what you’ll experience all within the first 5 minutes!

After a sold out, award winning debut season at Adelaide Fringe in 2021, #MATADOR - #SaborDeAmor, is back to steal audiences’ hearts once more.

Matador contains a bit of everything to suit all tastebuds – it’s a passionate fusion of #burlesque, dance & gravity defying #circus acts, with an underlying theme of forbidden love, carnal yearnings, passion & pain – the tragic account of a love torn bull & the seductive Matador!

This show is fiery from start to finish, with never a moments lull. The choreography is slick, seamless & sexy! And then there’s stunning costumes & props with whips, lingerie, blindfolds, thigh high boots and even an aerial #boudoir (needed to be seen to be believed!) – it’s just simply incredible!

I also wouldn’t be doing justice to the show if I didn’t mention the music, which has a strong role to play. Kudos to the musical director, because these bangers light up each sensual act The first number, a remix of Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, throw in some Michael Jackson, George Michael, Rhianna, Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue & you have yourself one magnificent playlist! Hell, I’m even thinking of creating my own Spotify playlist based on this show!

Unfortunately, I had friends last year that missed out on seeing this show as it was sold out, so please don’t make their mistake! Grab your tickets quick & get ready to be seduced & engulfed in an hour & a half of passion & lust – sure to pleasure you & leave you wanting more!
