I’ve always enjoyed experiencing music at Queens Theatre, be it Fringe performances or alternative music events.  Tonight, I was greeted to something very different with a cabaret style setting of the venue.  Seven vocalists entered on stage and sang a hauntingly beautiful acapella song.  I was blown away and would continue to be throughout the performance.  The Hollows, led by Janna Romeo, sang a collection of songs, originals and covers, with elements of jazz, indie, folk and soul, sometimes accompanied by piano, guitar, or cello.  The seven-part harmonies were divine, with none of the unique voices overpowering each other.  The performance seemed effortless yet gave me goose-bumps.  Chilling, haunting, angelic, emotive, and just perfect.
