Coming from the streets and stages of Las Vegas, Paul Dabek brings a roaringly funny and astounding magic show to the Melba Spiegeltent and Ukiyo venues at Gluttony. Hooking audiences from the first second, Dabek shows all the signs of what it means to be a professional magician, with a sparkly suit jacket and deck of cards to match!

Much like his sleight-of-hand skills and never-before-seen card tricks (which somehow involve a loaf of bread from Coles?), Dabek’s comedy skills are truly phenomenal, forcing audiences to wonder who he will tease next. It’s clear that Dabek knows how to work a crowd, having the audience eating out of his hand from the get-go.

But be prepared! If you find yourself coaxed up on stage, be warned! You may need to shuffle mismatched slices of white bread, hold a pen covered in tissue paper, or make a card disappear before your fellow audience members’ eyes. Trust me, I know it sounds completely insane, but I haven’t lost my mind just yet! Dabek’s show is sure to turn what little belief in magic you have into a mountain of pixie dust and more.

Starting off an amazing hour of magic and laughs with a fable-like retelling of his journey to Australia, audiences soon find out what kind of show “Mischief” will be. A little naughty, but more than anything, a whole lot of fun. Stringing together outstanding magic tricks with brilliant humour that creates “a Mexican wave of applause” across seats, you can’t help but lose yourself in the truly gripping show.

This is a magic show you need to see! It hits the perfect spot between tickling your side and tempting your mind to believe in magic again. And the cherry on top is the final trick by the end of the show, revealing what true skill Dabek has in his masterful display of professional shadow puppeteering. I highly recommend you go out and see the amazing, the funny, the awe-inspiring Paul Dabek and indulge in a bit of mischief. There is more than enough to go around but get your tickets now!
